Bill Cosby Contemplating Presidential Run in 2016, Phylicia Rashad as VP Running Mate

In a surprising statement made to a reporter after a recent show in Canada, Bill Cosby announced he is going to consider running as an independent for President of the United States in 2016.

Jeremey Sathaways from the Alberta Weekly scored the exclusive story when he sat down with Mr. Cosby following the sold out standing ovation show.

“You know, I look back to the diminishing family values in this country, and it appears to really have gone downhill after the Cosby show went off the air in 1992 “, said Cosby. “Go ahead, do your due diligence and see… I can guarantee you will find that to be the case.”

Cosby announced that Phylicia Rashad who played his wife on the The Cosby Show, has agreed to be his running mate. Rashad has also been a vocal supporter of Cosby in recent weeks as numerous claims have surfaced that Cosby raped and committed sexual battery against dozens of women in previous years.

“Oh Phylicia just thought it was the most wonderful idea ever and is very, very, very enthusiastic about leading this country back down a morally sound path, the same as we did when we were filming our television series. It will be the same thing, just the performance stage will be different. We’ve already designed t-shirts which say: Vote Huxtable 2016.”

When asked about the chances of actually winning or even standing a chance of competing for a presidential run amidst all the criminal claims against him, Cosby balked. “You know, now is such a perfect time to do this. An absolute perfect time. It will show what a small percentage of negative naysayers there really is out there, and the strong support I have with fans of not just me personally, but fans of America, fans of our United States system of law, fans of non-sensationalized media, all these fans will be able to shine and it will be revealed that these fans, these true Americans are overwhelmingly in the majority.”

Both Cosby’s manager and agent confirmed that this not a stunt. “Bill is incredibly serious about this, as is Phylicia. He will be taking a long break from standup as we bring in the proper political team to begin shaping his campaign into a very directed effort to secure a solid bid for a presidential run.”
