Disney World Bans Selfie Sticks After Accident
ORLANDO, Florida –
It was supposed to be a thrilling roller coaster ride on Disney World’s famous Space Mountain, until 25-year-old Brian Castroply from Ohio felt something odd riding up his shorts.
“I just thought, man this can’t be part of the ride.”
The passenger behind Brian, a young Asian woman, accidentally hit her 5-foot selfie stick on an overhead rafter causing her phone to detach, landing right on Brian’s lap.
“Then she took her stick and kept probing around my seat trying to re-attach her phone with it. Meanwhile I feel this rod riding up my shorts, and then the coaster suddenly goes downhill and she’s ramming me inside my butt with her stupid selfie stick.”
Brian mentions that while the experience was discomforting, as a gay man he realizes how worse it could have been for someone of the straight persuasion.
“As a gay man you know, I’m gonna be straight up – I’ve been there before. Don’t get me wrong, this was a huge violation and it is extremely sore right now. But again, as a gay man, at least it happened to me, someone who has been to that place before.”
Because of the anal accident, Disney World has now banned the use of all selfie sticks in the park.
Brian is recovering fine and has decided not to press charges against the woman who was visiting the park from Japan.
